These terms apply when you use our website or buy from us online. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Orders
When you place an order you will receive an email confirming we have received it. A contract between us is formed when we confirm your order. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable or there is an obvious pricing error. If we do, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery charges are shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order.
4. Roasting and delivery
Our coffee is roasted to order every Monday and dispatched with Royal Mail on Tuesday. Orders placed from Tuesday go out with the following week’s roast. Full details, costs and timescales are in our Delivery policy. Delivery times are estimates. Your order is our responsibility until it is delivered to you.
5. Subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically at the frequency you choose until you skip, pause or cancel them. Our Subscription Terms set out the minimum term, discounts and how to make changes, and form part of these terms.
6. Returns, cancellations and refunds
Your rights to cancel, return items and get a refund are set out in our Returns & Refunds policy.
7. Product information
We describe our coffees and equipment as accurately as we can. Tasting notes describe the flavours we find in a coffee and will vary with how you brew it. Coffee is a seasonal crop, so lots, availability and packaging may change.
8. Your account
You are responsible for keeping access to your account email secure. Please let us know straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
9. Gift cards
Gift cards can be used to buy products on hinba.co.uk. They cannot be exchanged for cash.
10. Website use
You may use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. All content on it, including text, photographs and our name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied without our permission. You must not misuse the site, for example by introducing viruses or trying to gain unauthorised access.
11. Our liability
If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products we sell.
12. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as postal disruption or severe weather. If this happens we will tell you and do what we can to limit the delay, and you may cancel for a full refund of anything not yet delivered.
13. Privacy
We use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place an order applies to that order.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you live in Scotland, you can bring proceedings in the Scottish courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can bring proceedings in the courts of Scotland or the part of the UK where you live. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@hinba.co.uk so we can try to resolve it.
